JUST CURIOUS: Does anyone else out there still have moments when they daydream about what they want to be when they grow up?
Because I do. And it’s been a bit of a lifelong pursuit, one that began back in my childhood driveway, which is the scene of the story I am sharing today.
I wrote Hoop Dreams for my father’s 70th birthday. And one of the reasons it’s making an appearance here in Lighten Up is because he just turned 79 last week.
