“As I lay the foundation for another year, I’m personally going to be thinking about incorporating less – specifically in terms of my wellbeing.”

DECEMBER THREW ME for a loop.

While always a hectic month – facetiously adorned as the most wonderful time of the year – the homestretch of 2025, quite literally, left me breathless.

A trifecta of travel (fun), sickness (exhaustion) and holiday prep (stress) compounded to take me down a few pegs.

Specifically in terms of my capacity to uphold the mainstay components of my day-to-day routine.

In other words, the wheels came tumbling off.

And I found myself in need of repair.

But as this unraveling happened, as I had no choice but to proceed minute by minute, at the mercy of all around me, I emerged in the midst of an unplanned social experiment.

Because despite the lack of structure, productivity and predictability of my typically tightly choreographed schedule, I did not feel untethered.

Instead I felt surprisingly, blissfully, unapologetically free.
